It is the month of love and unlike boyfriends around the world, Apple has not forgotten. Their new pink colored iPod is sure to be on the Valentine wish list of a few ladies this year. We at Smartacus understand that the technically savvy are not always the romantically savvy so here are a few “techie” gifts up your alley that she will still love.
As mentioned before a new iPod nano would be a great gift but make it even more special by loading it with all of her favorite songs or songs that mean something to the two of you. It makes the gift that much more thoughtful and personal. Find her favorite bands, singers, or just songs you know will make her smile. As great as the “mixed tape” was in the 80’s, get with the times the loaded iPod is a little more modern and cool.

If you’re not really to the “iPod gift” stage in your relationship, or if it just seems a little out of range right now iTunes gift cards are a great gift and come in manageable increments for everyone. iTunes gift cards are available everywhere from Safeway to Target, but to get the most bang for your buck go to Costco. A $50 iTunes gift card is just $44.95 at Costco. I’m no math genius but 5 songs for free is a pretty sweet deal.

For the more creative Mac Users iPhoto has a couple of great features for making gifts. Through iPhoto you can create a professional hardbound book using family photos. Place pictures and captions in the book and you can order a beautiful printed copy of the book directly through iPhoto. Another option using iPhoto is a calendar. Put photos of activities you did each month or pictures of her favorite things in each month and memo the special days with family birthdays, anniversaries, or special plans for just the two of you.
So good luck and Happy Valentine’s Day!
